Poverty is treated by our govt like it’s an inconvenience, a charitable cause rather than the dark underbelly of systemic economic injustice. The champions of the poor are viewed as ragamuffins who need to learn to behave, radicals too immature to understand how the system works.

People living in poverty are treated as if they have a mental illness that’s contagious.

Medicaid should be done away with. It’s a state sponsored state of poverty. It’s based upon people becoming and staying poor. This is the evil side of means tested “benefits”. Medicaid = evil We should have UBI and Bernie’s #M4A plan instead.

Some Christians believe poverty is evidence of sin because they are taught God blesses the godly with prosperity. Why give aide to American poor if they are sinners? Yet they’ve helped 3rd world poor they consider “innocent pagans” open to conversion and missionary tourism.

Aren't you worth a couple million bucks? Why don't you give $100k to 20 poor families to change their lives, and keep your hand out of my pocket?
