1/ I don’t understand how establishment Democrats can fail to realize how much appreciation and loyalty would be created by 45 million people having their college loan debts canceled.

It’s telling people what you would do if you had power, and giving them the choice whether or not to vote for you. That’s not a bribe; it’s democracy.
