1/ I don’t understand how establishment Democrats can fail to realize how much appreciation and loyalty would be created by 45 million people having their college loan debts canceled.

2/ Then imagine those same people being told that because we passed Medicare4All, they will no longer have out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.

3/ Then imagine people being told that they don’t have to worry about sending their kids to college anymore because there will be free tuition at state colleges and universities, plus free tuition at the best trade schools.

4/ Do you think they would reject you, or do you think they would vote for you? Time and bandwidth now to spend with their families, an absence of chronic economic despair, and the space to live the lives they most want to live. How can it be bad politics to treat people well?

You ran against the person who was running on that platform, in a small way, you helped us to not achieve those goals.

I agree with you, but these politicians are sick in the head with greed for money and power and they cannot break loose for some reason from the decadent and selfish elite world. Bless the Justice Democrats and others who agree with you!

The government’s general stance seems to be if you need help, then you are most likely going to try and cheat the system and never do any work ever again. Having applied for unemployment several times in recent years, it always feels like I’m being judged.

I got a taste of this in my home country. I'm queer, and we got marriage equality about 2 years after Obergefell. The thing is, marriage equality *always* had *much* higher cross-party support here than in the US — 70%+ support overall, 50%+ support among conservatives
