1/ I don’t understand how establishment Democrats can fail to realize how much appreciation and loyalty would be created by 45 million people having their college loan debts canceled.

2/ Then imagine those same people being told that because we passed Medicare4All, they will no longer have out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.

3/ Then imagine people being told that they don’t have to worry about sending their kids to college anymore because there will be free tuition at state colleges and universities, plus free tuition at the best trade schools.

4/ Do you think they would reject you, or do you think they would vote for you? Time and bandwidth now to spend with their families, an absence of chronic economic despair, and the space to live the lives they most want to live. How can it be bad politics to treat people well?

the issue is they can’t make billionaires and poor people happy at the same time and they’ve already decided who they serve

Lol. None of that will generate profits, they are neoliberals and only care about corporate needs. They DGAF about the working class, and never have. Neither do the republicans though.

How will all this free healthcare and college tuition B paid? We tried 2 tax the 1% but they find new ways to avoid them. Then does it fall on hard working middle class? Work from home tax? More IRS audits going back 3 yrs to find ways to rip off Americans via technicalities?

I have Republicans friends ... they ask the question ... how are you going to pay for all these things ... and ... are you going to tax us out of existence? ... the answer is ... of course ... to educate them!

Free college would just be another huge transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich. Overwhelmingly the kids who attend college are from the wealthier families and get the best grades. If colleges aren’t going to be able to handle huge increases...the wealthy win.
