1/ I don’t understand how establishment Democrats can fail to realize how much appreciation and loyalty would be created by 45 million people having their college loan debts canceled.

2/ Then imagine those same people being told that because we passed Medicare4All, they will no longer have out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.

3/ Then imagine people being told that they don’t have to worry about sending their kids to college anymore because there will be free tuition at state colleges and universities, plus free tuition at the best trade schools.

4/ Do you think they would reject you, or do you think they would vote for you? Time and bandwidth now to spend with their families, an absence of chronic economic despair, and the space to live the lives they most want to live. How can it be bad politics to treat people well?

The idle elite live off the interest we pay on the debt. Think about it. EVERYTHING they order their puppets to do is designed to get us into debt and to keep us in ever more debt. Political parties and national debt and even the Dow Jones are all just smokescreens.

All true. But they really don't care. They see themselves as unaccountable to voters and not responsible for the broader economic well being of society at large.

Getting tired of this take. "Who pays for it?" Who do you think really paying for it years and decade+ down the line extending into generations. A simple fix and a boon to multiple generations, a step into the future.

'appreciation and loyalty would be created' Go on just called it by its real name. ... VOTE BUYING. Why stop at student debt ... Imagine the appreciation and loyalty you could garner if you cancelled credit card debt.

They don’t care about appreciation/loyalty. They care about one thing: protecting the interests and preferences of their corporate donors. A vote for a corporate Dem/Repub is a vote against the people. It’s time to stop enabling these ppl by voting for the lesser of two evils.

Because they don’t care about us. Once you realize that everything starts making sense.

We have to change the war machine mentality. Trillions spent on military, no questions ever seem to be asked. It needs to stop.

Stop trying to ‘understand how’ and let obvious conclusion inform your politics going forward. Your disbelief is you not claiming responsibility for what you projected upon unworthy Dems. If you reclaim this slit part you’d build what you know needs to built. #EnoughHandWringing
