1/ I don’t understand how establishment Democrats can fail to realize how much appreciation and loyalty would be created by 45 million people having their college loan debts canceled.

2/ Then imagine those same people being told that because we passed Medicare4All, they will no longer have out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.

3/ Then imagine people being told that they don’t have to worry about sending their kids to college anymore because there will be free tuition at state colleges and universities, plus free tuition at the best trade schools.

4/ Do you think they would reject you, or do you think they would vote for you? Time and bandwidth now to spend with their families, an absence of chronic economic despair, and the space to live the lives they most want to live. How can it be bad politics to treat people well?

College loans should NOT be cancelled. The interest rates charged should be capped at 1% or not to exceed the direct costs of servicing the loans - whichever is less.

Because estab Dems are corporatists, their loyalty is to lobbyists to Wall Street and Big Hidden Money - it's their life blood. If there's a #Cabal some are its soldiers. The don't want $1 trillion forgiven b/c it'll add to nat'l debt. They don't care about The People. @AOC

Seems fair if they want to go ahead and cancel out their degree as well

That’s because you don’t actually understand what the Democratic Party is - and it’s actual objectives are as a privileged player in a two player limited game.

The biggest transfer of money fm those without degrees to those with degrees. Forgiveness doesn’t make it free. Hard pass and I’m an MD with massive student loans.

I am less concerned about the obvious political benefit the dems see in helping their new besties the college educated voter than in why they don't give a shit about the millions hurting without a stimulus. That is truly monstrous

Can’t you just buy votes on eBay?

You still believe the Democratic party doesn't do the right thing because they just don't understand. They do understand, but their personal power and wealth is tied to the oligarchy which keeps them on a tight leash.
