If Biden comes in with any less boldness than FDR, with any fewer plans to ameliorate the suffering of millions than is displayed by someone with 100% capacity to empathize with that suffering and on fire with intention to diminish it, then the Republicans will win big in 2022/24

Come on now Marianne, think positively. Where's your encouraging words of hope & wisdom. Stop focusing on your anticipated disappointment, instead imagine that he will "shine as children do". And "give others permission" to do the same. You must be exhausted x

Yes Marianne, we need your positive light and your encouraging words. I am baffled by your post. We can and will succeed but we need everyone’s efforts, including and especially your voice and effort. We’ve got 60 some days to go, don’t make it longer by casting doom and gloom

But I didn’t see it that way. I don’t think an adult appraisal of a situation is gloom and doom. The Biden team is making decisions right now that will determine how all this unfolds, and I think their hearing a variety of viewpoints is important.

Instead of fear, why not envision a paradigm shift in American society, & resounding victory in 2024. Motivate with powerful visions of a united States, a cleaner environment, healthcare for all, student debt forgiven, work & a living income. The virus cured - all possible now.
