In which Marianne admits that a stifling over-regulating government exists.
The way our government is responding to the pandemic is a natural extension of the way things have been run for decades. We need a fundamental course correction to restore government “of the people, by the people and for the people.”

The big corporations regulate the government at this point, to get the people to do what the corporations want. If there were less government there would be less government power for the corporations to corrupt.

No, it just means corporations would run even more things with only their shirt-term financial gain, without any countervailing advocacy by govt for the well-being of citizens.

Can you name a single large industry that has not gained control of its government regulator? I cannot. Health insurance, pharma, Ag, automotive, media, telecoms and many others all control their own regulator.

It is laughable to think that we would ever see “countervailing advocacy by govt for the well-being of citizens”
why can't citizens advocate for themselves through government & the workplace directly?
