Middle class and working class people – many of whom are the ones now holding that debt - are already subsidizing huge multinational corporations in a way that does not serve them at all. Canceling college loan debt will do more to “lift all boats” than that does.

Do you know where your tax money goes? You ask why pay off a college debt and the answer is because it will stimulate the economy. Right now that same money goes to subsidizing big corporations in a way that does nothing to stimulate the economy at this point! It’s the same money

So why not work with colleges to reduce the cost of their “services”.the message you’re sending is again, go ahead, we will take care of you, no matter how bad your choices were. It’s always the responsible person who did work &lift themselves up on their own that gets screwed
