Ford pardoning Nixon was well-intentioned but a big mistake. Justice done provides reconciliation without which it’s difficult to move on. It will be important once this administration is over that we refuse to “let bygones be bygones.” Not for revenge but for a sense of justice.

Justice for what?

Ultimately for Justice to prevail there has to be a firm commitment to truth. If no one can ever admit they might have been flawed or mistaken or employed unskillful means or flat out lied, it helps me in choosing where and how and to whom I lend support in the political realm.

It was absolutely not well intentioned

Well-intentioned? Ford was a fascist in his own way. He played his own role in the continuation of terrible American foreign policy, namely in the form of certain Cold War conflicts and the East Timor genocide. He knew what he was pardoning.

Let's also hold the Bush and Obama administrations accountable while we're at it

Agree 2 disagree but i sincerely don’t believe it was well-intentioned, MW

Regardless of how much a mistake it was, Nixon did leave office without any fight, or claims he was robbed of his presidency. Unlike the #fakedonaldtrump who makes this stuff up because he isn't man enough to say I lost.
