Ford pardoning Nixon was well-intentioned but a big mistake. Justice done provides reconciliation without which it’s difficult to move on. It will be important once this administration is over that we refuse to “let bygones be bygones.” Not for revenge but for a sense of justice.

Letting it go also perpetuates a dangerous precedent and bypasses and does not address the need for collective witnessing of truth and reconciliation -and repair in context to our democracy.

This administration won’t be over until 2024 as our great president won’t let the election be stolen from the American people.

The problem with people is that they easily forger esp. if they feel like they’re not directly affected. But peace cannot be had without justice. This entails accountability. No accountability means no respect for people the one in power abused. It is sickening.

Totally agree. Remember how the senate refusing to remove T**** from office created and emboldened a monster who immediately tried to commit the same crime for which he was impeached and ended up killing over a quarter million people through his criminal negligence.
