This will eventually break the country apart. No one will be ok with having no representation. Coastal cities will end up on their own without electoral college.

Direct democracy is mob rule, which means rule by those who can whip up the mob with irrational anger and fear. That is why the Roman Republic fell and became a dictatorship. Is that really what you want for us?

Easier steps: 1. Repeal the Reapportionment Act of 1929 so that we can assign new representatives in states that have grown in population since the Apportionment Act of 1911 2. Have states get rid of winner-take-all selection of Electors in favor or proportional selection
