Americans are going to have to dig deep. We’re going to have to atone in our hearts for allowing a political system so rife with corruption to sell out our people for the sake of corporate dollars. When we get the $ out of politics we’ll get the toxicity out of our national soul.

We won’t get big money out of politics unless we stop blaming the elected officials, the lobbyists, and the judges and instead look at the underlying causes. We are trying to continue relying on a constitution that was never meant to run a country of this size and complexity!

There won't be much popular legislation to remove money from politics. I think that the best you can do is to keep running for public office and support other progressives doing the same thing, exactly what you're doing now. Until the right group has the votes, money will rule.
