America is paying the price - a terrible one - for the fact that we haven’t prioritized a world-class education or economic opportunities for all our citizens. When you think where we put our resources instead, it’s painful to realize how we brought so much of this on ourselves.

Yes it’s a part of the picture I’m very familiar with. Reagan was behind closing all kinds of Mental Hospitals throughout California so his real estate buddies could develop those lands. Meanwhile prisons picked up the slack. There is a social disconnect we need to talk about.

& the welfare state we see now is a product of Johnson. We need to stop looking at our problems through the lense of oversimplification, focusing on the past sins of our country, prioritizing victim mentality over empowering those who need it & stopping the ANTIFA & BLM violence
