My Trump supporting friend told me “we’re not going to just take this lying down,” they’ll “resist” the progressive new president. I asked her what it is about Biden she thinks is progressive & whether maybe she wants to see what he does she would want to resist before resisting?

Since when did progressive become a dirty word? Progressive means to think forward. Do they want to live in the 90s whilst the rest of the world is looking at how to evolve?

Why do you have even one Trump supporting friend? I just can’t. Write ‘em off, I say. Irredeemable.

I think a big problem with the divide is the rampant misinformation from bad actors in right wing media. Make it cultural. Make it existential. They push over any common ground wether that be economical or otherwise.

She is likely waiting to be told what to resist. But whatever they tell her, she'll do it!

I wouldn’t figure you had a trump supporting friend. I hope she gets an open mind.

I no longer consider my blind, selfish, ignorant republican acquaintances friends. They are brainwashed by FauxNews and incapable of compassion, empathy, or intellect. I have tried to converse with them but it is useless and they DO NOT CARE about how their views affect others.

Thank you for keeping your friendship in tact. It takes something! We have so demonized the other side as if they are a cookie cutter type, and cry foul when they do it to us. We need an intervention on the level of South Africa after Apartheid! @marwilliamson will you help lead?

I am a Democrat and I am sure I will have plenty to be opposed to as well. We must not shut the right out like they do to us. Two wrongs do not make a right.
