Responses to this tweet demonstrate the level on which Trump’s disinformation campaign has been successful. He has delegitimized the most basic element in a democracy: that whoever gets the most votes wins. Many of his followers just cannot believe that if he lost he lost fairly.

Please reread the constitution and how the process works. The results haven’t been certified by the states, the electors haven’t been nominated, they haven’t voted, the congress hasn’t certified those results. We have a process that allows for contesting results and filing suits
