It sure as hell is not. What’s irresponsible is distracting people from the part that chronic economic stress and anxiety play in the lives of tens of millions of people who in their despair develop personal dysfunctions that they could otherwise avoid.

It is not just economic despair - it goes deeper - a loss of meaning, purpose, agency in one’s life, stress of an erratic shifting terrain over which one has little control - economics sorely need to be addressed but without the latter, the impact may not be great.

Exactly. And try being bipolar/mentally ill, and trying to survive with no medical care. Expected to work full time for mere survival. We can do better. I appreciate you speaking up for us Marianne. Truly do. Means a lot.
