I can’t understand why thinking Americans should have the same or better healthcare, or educational or economic opportunities that citizens in other advanced democracies have should be considered “too far left.” What’s the downside?

Poor marginalized people would become healthy, wealthy and wise. Americans want to keep people down. Watching from 🇨🇦 Canada where we have healthcare, fewer deaths by Covid, more testing and proudly wear Masks 😷 to protect one another! ❤️😷🇨🇦❤️😷🇨🇦❤️😷🇨🇦

USA politicians always claim 'We are the wealthiest country in the world'. How is it that America is unable to deliver universal healthcare, protect the environment, produce a fair tax system, freeze military spending, reduce government debt, or respect citizens rights?

Keep focusing on perfection in healthcare in the runup to the #Georgia election and the end result will be a GOP-controlled Senate and four more years of Trumpcare.

The elite totally buy into the slippery slope argument/give an inch they'll take a mile line of thought. So we get nothing. They are asking for Revolution.

The people saying that want the rest of the world to have the same luxuries with capitalist run healthcare as we do: pay more, get less, and leave tens of millions uninsured. These people have either fallen for propaganda or are paid by the insurance lobby to believe that way.

it's about taxes, libertarian ideology has infected parties and people's opinion. I'm so sick of the "me, I, myself" selfishness. People used to be proud of investing in America infrastructure and society, now they chant 'Taxation is theft'

Also, capitalists are by nature sociopaths who only value money and couldn’t care less about life - human or otherwise It’s the very nature of capitalism.

We need to realize the efforts the wealthy in the US have made to snuff even the dream of equality. The McCarthy Hearings, etc, had an effect on more than just the generation that experienced the terror. We know why & we need to simply demand equality.

nowhere else in the world do ppl have this depraved conversation around healthcare. the police, fire dept and military come from public funds, so why not healthcare or education? a better educated and healthier workforce means more productivity, something free marketeers love
