I can’t understand why thinking Americans should have the same or better healthcare, or educational or economic opportunities that citizens in other advanced democracies have should be considered “too far left.” What’s the downside?

Insurance company well funded propaganda touting how “horrible “ health care is in other countries and how healthcare is “the best” in the US. Many Americans continue to be deceived.

They are not convinced it’s better elsewhere. Most people are happy with their health insurance. We keep making the argument that we need to make things worse for most people to improve healthcare for 14% of the population. Of course politician exempt themselves from these laws

Can't disappoint pharmaceutical companies who've made huge contributions to political campaigns.

The downside is that "thinking Americans" do not vote for Corporate bribed Politicians. On both sides of the aisle. The downside of giving people healthcare is some people stop making lots of money, why would they give that up? (See first part)

Exactly. Strange. It all goes to show that alot of America doesn’t think much of themselves, sadly. We need to work on that. On our confidence, our compassion, our integrity, & our capacity to love ourselves & the Planet. That will = Liberty. #worldkindnessday

The healthcare ends up being garbage-the metric they use to rate healthcare symptoms in not objective in anyway for a variety of reasons-and it is not free it costs a butt load in taxes. Everyone has access to healthcare, but you can’t compel a doctor or scientist to give it away
