#HealthCareIsAHumanRight People worry it will be poorly administrated & a bogged down system. Americans are conditioned to view egalitarianism with contempt & are conditioned to covet employment with "benefits" like healthcare. Healthcare is to be earned. That's the mentality.

seems pretty obvious that the downside is for wealthier people (say making over $400k/year) knowing that they will have to pay the biggest chunk of it (which they should) but since money controls politics, it won't pass unless we keep pushing for Bernie/AOC types everywhere

The rich have convinced them that they will then be dependent on the govt. Which will then take away Jesus and guns and all their freedumbs. In laymen's terms : Americans are stupid .

It is the double cut of American exceptionalism--somehow believing that you are better just cuz. Couple that with moneyed interests preaching another gospel day in and day out (from Fox to corporate) and most Americans cannot even imagine another way.

They lose the ability to torture and starve their employees. If they're not threatened by death, why would employees stay and put up with whatever management feels like dishing out?

Is that why they immigrate here every chance they get? When you socialists ruin this country, where are the rest of us going to immigrate to? Please advise so we can plan ahead!
