I can’t understand why thinking Americans should have the same or better healthcare, or educational or economic opportunities that citizens in other advanced democracies have should be considered “too far left.” What’s the downside?

Paranoia has been the American state of mind since the witch trials. It’s embedded in our cultural DNA. Sure drives us but sure is a curse.

A robust education system means the end of conservatism. Conservatives know this so they nuke education every chance they get.

America has to many people from shit hole countries... That's why Republicans especially don't want it for us.
I think it's because the difference in like the UK for example is that the government pays the hospitals/doctors etc verses we trying to do govt paid insurance health care 🤔

It’s just a false talking point by the Republicans. They want to scare Americans into voting for them. Like in the 50’s with Communism. It’s exactly the same. But the villain is Democrats and China. Fear Mongering Politics. And a lot of dumb Americans fall for it

Money. Money. Money. Who would the healthcare industry or other big money donors give their checks to if the government officials actually worked for the best interest of their constituents?

1. Reduction in corporate profits. 2. Alleviation of cultivated desperation in the general public that renders ppl vulnerable to exploitation for profit. 3. Loss of public apathy toward democracy and belief in govt What's shocking is the inability of affluent ppl to see this.

Because no one will have decent Healthcare, only elites like you will have good Healthcare because you are able to afford it. & that is a fact. Socialize medicine is crappy h.care Just go visit another country & ask the working class, that pays so much for 0 h.c
