I can’t understand why thinking Americans should have the same or better healthcare, or educational or economic opportunities that citizens in other advanced democracies have should be considered “too far left.” What’s the downside?

We should be the best and to settle for anything less is shameful!

How would you control people by threatening their jobs? And when they lose their jobs for speaking out then they also lose healthcare, a double whammy. And who would control 350 million independent Americans? Not the GOP.

My only problem with the healthcare is we (my family) can’t afford to pay more $$$$ so other people can get the same health care for less$

The powers that be want to keep a significant number of Americans uneducated. Makes it easier to manipulate and control them.

Better education, healthcare, and economic opportunity would instill more life satisfaction and critical thinking, not to mention less stress. These are all things that make people more difficult to manipulate... most especially the GOP base.

I have family, unfortunately that voted trump. They say that taxes will go up if we as a society have to pay for people that do not have health insurance. They don't believe that if everyone, including big business and the rich pay their fair share of taxes that it is possible.
