In the last 24 hours, the Secretary of Defense (SecDef), the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (USD-P), and the Under Secretary of Defense for Intell (OUSD-I) have been sacked. Trump loyalist now sit in the 1, 3, and 4 slots at DOD. Kash Patel is DOD Chief of Staff. Why?

He's been claiming he wants out of Afghanistan. Maybe he's putting people in place who will make that happen. I wouldn't jump to conclusions either way.

I know at least one of them actively worked against Trump to deny a withdrawal of troops from Afghnistan, saying something about it being a premature withdrawal. It’s been 20 years. These assholes can go.
