People are saying Biden won by having a moderate message, so progressives need to be very careful. But there is no evidence Biden won by having a moderate message. Based on Congressional races results, there’s just as good a chance he would’ve won by a bigger margin being bolder.

45 million voters hold college loan debt that’s crippling them. How would it have been bad politics to tell them that if you elect us we’ll cancel those debts? Especially since a good argument is made for how much it would stimulate the economy for the money to be in their hands!

Would've been tough to get the swing voters with that one, Marianne. I think the people with student debt already know Biden and the Dems are headed in that direction. Republicans and Independents (especially wealthy ones) just see their taxes going up to cover the debts.

People, voters, like me who paid their loans in full will resent the freebies, especially for students with poor grades or who changed majors too many times or who took HS level classes in college.

Marianne, we loved you for your honesty. Don’t blow it now...I just took on 230k of debt for my daughter to attend the best college she could get into with a LD. AND I VOTED FOR TRUMP. Wake up “girlfriend”. Some of us are ok with paying our own way
