As we near the moment of knowing that this nightmare will be over, I’m not experiencing the giddy excitement I expected to feel. I feel more the shock of knowing how close we came to the demise of our democracy, and an almost tearful gratitude that we survived.

Quite insane that any one would feel giddy about needing 3 days to tell who won against someone like Trump as well as losing the senate. This nightmare is no where near over just cuz trump is out. Bad bad take

Things'll be so different! I bet now Joe will call for the pardoning of Julian Assange! It was determined that his revelations resulted in no harm to any American operatives.

Didnt take the Senate. Lost House seats. Biden will more than likely plague us as president. Yes we got rid of Trump, but I hardly see that as the end of nightmares. Just the beginning of new ones. I see no win. No reason for celebration.

It's only over for those who want to go back to sleep.

Yeah, it's over. Trump and the virus are gone, the pandemic has healed us, white supremacy has been handled by the thought police, college and healthcare are now affordable, global warming has improved everything, from farming, obliterating pests and ugly things. I'm awake.
