As we near the moment of knowing that this nightmare will be over, I’m not experiencing the giddy excitement I expected to feel. I feel more the shock of knowing how close we came to the demise of our democracy, and an almost tearful gratitude that we survived.

We’ve got to unpack why so many voted or Trump and address it at the roots level. Like public education for instance. Also why Mitch, Lindsey, and Nancy get voted back in after being in the way of what the citizens yearn for

I'm wondering what sort of progressive hell I'll have to endure this time. As bad as Bush was, I had savings before the Obama era destroyed my savings. My only solace now is that it will get bad enough to sour the American people on progressive policies for good.

So much wrong with this, let me mention a couple: In your tearful gratitude, think emboldened Iran, China aggression in the S. Pacific. Those two countries are rooting for your party.

I hear you. But... Hundreds of thousands of us did not survive. And we will surpass 300,000 before it is done. Back in 2016, if I knew the president would cause the deaths of 300,000 Americans, I could not have believed it.

I really don’t know what democracy your talking about. A vote counting process that so lacks transparency that either side can legitimately claim that the other is cheating. This is not democracy.

It isn’t over. Joe Biden is not going to fix the problems he helped create.

You got on my newsfeed from recovery folks somehow but I can honestly say this there hasn’t been one Democrat or Republican that has helped addiction period Successful treatment has come from the parents who can afford to invested in the recovering person

“As long as my side wins, democracy survived” is a hell of a take

Must be nice to be rich. For many of us, the nightmare is not over it’s will continue when you are at brunch. Let’s not delude ourselves into thinking Joe Biden is not also a republican.

@JaneSanders55 unfortunately, my gut instinct, inner intuition tells me this "nightmare" is far from over! At least til Jan 21, then maybe, just maybe then we can either exhale or catch our breath. Demcracy? are you sure about that?... hmm?!... signed MEJ563 Boston MA.
