I’ve been walking around singing “Happy Days are Here Again” for days. I’ve figured it was a message from my subconscious mind to calm down, he’s going to win.

Marianne your really should know better. You ran for a reason didn’t you? There’s little to celebrate unless you’re an oligarch or defense contractor.

With Biden's apparent victory, I suspect there comes with it a sweeping erasure of the left in US politics, a purge of those who conscientiously vetted Biden's record. There are signs of it beginning already. youtube.com/watch?v=8HqbHJw_…

You're happy that we're doomed to two years of Dems accomplishing nothing with the Republican Senate, and then watching even more seats turn over to conservatives in '22 as a result? That must mean you're REALLY excited about the next, more extreme Trump we're gonna get in 2024.

Biden does not bring Happy Days again...he brings back the Neoliberalism of Clinton and Obama. Yes, better than Trump, but not happy at all.

Biden does not equal happy days. It equals hard work in building the #PeoplesParty as we try and survive the other corporate party for 4 years.

He sure is. With a red majority in the senate, he won’t have to do a damn thing, except blame republicans for why he can’t do a damn thing. It’s a neoliberal dream come true.

Continuation of OBiden's austerity/ neoliberal policies will give us a politer more polished fascist in 2024.

Not the big win you think it is.
The prospect of a Biden presidency feels like the early days of a Macron presidency in France. Neoliberalism snatching victory from evil. France has been continuously on fire ever since. They didn’t need the desperation of covid to light it.
