1/ This is a bigger story than that of just one country or one bad leader. It's a story humanity has experienced over & over again & will continue to experience until we move beyond it: the human spirit tries to breathe free, forces arise to suppress it & freedom ultimately wins

2/ None of that means a happy ending is guaranteed in the short term but only in an ultimate sense. How long it takes for freedom to reassert itself is totally dependent on the readiness, willingness & courage of people whose free will is the only real determiner of their destiny

3/ Humanity will evolve into a compassionate & cooperative species because it's the only survivable option. It will happen or we will cease to be. Our choice is to get there thru wisdom or to get there thru pain. The choice isn't one we're making later; it's one we're making now.

The people in power don't care, Marianne. :(

That's not entirely true. "The people in power" aren't some monolithic group. No socio-economic group has a monopoly on values. It's systems not individuals that need to be destroyed - and often we with our distractedness and disengagement conspired in the making of those systems

And if we are blessed with winning the Presidency and both houses … we need to pass hundreds of (SCOTUS) proof bills … to stabilize this democracy, create a balanced Supreme Court, save our environment, take money out of politics and allow every citizen the ability to thrive!

Yes we are. And our picture of the world can be sent in a pessimistic direction by news reporting that emphasizes the disturbing to stimulate our “OMG how terrible!” response. That keeps us engaged. But there are other assessments of where we are. youtube.com/yCm9Ng0bbEQ

I hear you on this and agree completely. I love your work as a spiritual teacher from ACIM. I have a hard time with you politically because I see your views as very extreme and not aligned with your books.I see a lot of love in Trump. I can see it in you and Biden as well.🇺🇲

The person I encountered who taught this philosophy in the 70s was David Suzuki - an ecologist on PBS. Reaganomics branded him a socialist and got him knocked off TV. We’re still inheriting the wind of Reagan.
