Ask me how I know you've never been to Asia
I wish someone could explain to me why police in other countries de-escalate situations nonviolently in so many instances where police in the U.S. are more likely to shoot to kill. We talk about “better police training” but nothing seems to change...

Among the best and brightest, Marianne Williamson really stands out.
"Caning" in Singapore comes to mind. While living in Germany, we were advised not to mouth off to police because "there is no such thing as police brutality in Germany". They will just beat people to get the answers. Probably doesn't happen in your fancy hotels though.

Did the French police de-escalate the situation with the Muslim who beheaded the school teacher? What about the de-escalation tactics of the Hong Kong police to protesters?

Wonder if you could explain the legal definitions and elements of shooting NOT to kill are? In your 'expert' opinion.
