There are people in this country more concerned about a Walmart being looted than about an innocent man being killed. Many of them tout the Bible, but “Thou shall not loot” is not in there. “Thou shalt not kill” sure is.

Actually, “Thou shalt not steal” is of course in there. But my point about priorities remains the same.

You lost me at “innocent”

We have very different definitions of innocent

We could summarize the ten commandments to this: Love your neighbor as yourself. How is running toward people with a knife and looting considered loving your neighbors?

Marianne, I have followed you for years, because I loved your teachings of love. You are so wrong on this one. Riots, destroying property, burning things, looting, assaulting police and others is wrong and never okay. That isn’t love!! How can you not see that? So disappointed!

The police were being attacked by a man with a knife. He was charging them with a knife. There is actual footage showing what happened. Check out Officer Tatum on YouTube.

Just like MLK taught us. Only violence and hate can drive out violence and hate.

Looting and murder are violations of the Commandments. So is threatening harm with a knife. So is worshiping any god but the One who gave the Commandments. It’s an all-or-none thing, regardless your personal priorities.
