It’s an odd psychology that makes people resist giving $1000/mo to hard-working citizens to buy what they need, yet be OK with billions/yr given as subsidies to industries already making huge profits destroying the planet so that a tiny group of people can buy whatever they want.

It's all given under the guise of job creation/maintenance, unfortunately the money doesn't trickle down to the lower levels

I think average Americans are disconnected from the realities of corporate welfare. After the election, it would behoove the Democratic Party to embark on a massive education campaign on a lot of issues like these. With an aim to stave off a rightward 2022 election swing.
