UBI doesn’t just give someone enough money to live: it removes enough anxiety that she can breathe, be present for her family, go about creating the life she most wants for herself & participating as a citizen in the life of the nation. It’s a moral as well as economic imperative

Working less and more free should be celebrated. We over consume, overproduce and are overworked and it's destroying people & planet.

UBI is an idea ahead of its time. It does all you say and more. It won’t stop private ownership-by defn it’s not communist. It won’t take away motivation-few of us are ever satisfied as we are. The big Qu: is America ready to put people ahead of greed to make it happen-care?

As long as that UBI money isn't counted towards means tested programs, otherwise it will be devastating.

Wholesale endorsement and moralizing of UBI is very dangerous messaging.
