What basis do the police have for removing PPE that people are handing out at a polling site? What are they shutting down next? Lemonade stands?
On the first day of early voting in Red Hook, @NYPD76Pct officers confronted community activists handing out PPE in front of an early polling site & then seized it. This is unacceptable, the NYPD must issue clear guidelines & not escalate situations at the polls.

The same basis for blasting "Trump 2020" from their squad cars. Absolutely zero. But they'll do it anyway. #DefundPolice

They've been shutting down lemonade stands for awhile. Something silly about permits for kids to sell 25 cent cups of lemonade. It would be so nice to have police who use common sense & decency instead of the order-following automatons we have now. huffpost.com/entry/texas-cop…

Must be fun to make assertions without knowing basic rules around polling... god nuance has died..

This is how things have been and done for a reason. These posts fuel anti police sentiment when they don’t make the rules but rather enforce. I’m a lefty saying this.
