Listening to finance types give “advice” to people right now is maddening. Mass job loss, economic destabilization and the bottom falling out of an already adhoc child care system would not have been solved by an emergency savings account.

The people who caused the crisis then advise us how to survive the crisis. Economists and lobbyists and lawyers and businesspeople should be replaced by moms and teachers and scientists and artists as America’s governing class.

Do you not think that those economists, lobbyists, lawyers and businesspeople have children? What does a teacher, scientist or artist know about governance? The solution probably shouldn’t be to replace unqualified people with more unqualified people.
