We need a Constitutional amendment establishing public funding for federal campaigns! Money in politics is the cancer that underlies all the other political cancers. I understand the desire to beat Lindsey Graham, but it shouldn’t take $100 million to do it.

I agree.. the donations that have come from big tech, the silicone valley and celebrities for Biden should not be allowed. Not to mention foreign countries that then have expectations afterward. Joe knows all about that..

Where is this money spent? I never hear anyone talking about that? Media companies who work to be as polarizing as possible to get more and more of that sweet campaign dough?

Yes a complete overhaul to include age limits, term limits, transparency clause

I agree. Think about the good we could be doing with that money

Truth. And it might not work. Money wasted that could go elsewhere to charities and even individuals pockets in this recession.

That money could have been used for a million other much more productive things ... It's like getting drunk on alcohol or high on drugs ... and just sitting around and burning money for the fun of it ... it's that dumb!

Totally agree! How can we get Congress to go do?

Public funding does not make things cheaper. In fact it makes them more expensive, by making them *feel* cheaper to the people buying them.

It’s too late for a constitutional amendment. There is so much more wrong with the federal government! There is so much more right with non-government community group action. Sister city movements to rebalance the distribution of wealth. These things are growing!

If you eliminate fundraising only the rich who can self fund will run. Taxpayer funding could never match it. Term limits would be more effective.
