Beyond the noise there are simple truths. One believes climate change is an existential threat while the other one denies it’s happening; one admits there is systemic racism while the other one demonizes protests for racial justice; one is a decent man while the other one is not.

Epic. And seconded. I think Joe is a run-of-the-mill career politician but it is a civic duty in any democracy to remain engaged and constructive. However broken the system may be. As much as I sometimes feel like taking my ball and going home.
