1/ Having had surgery, I now get frequent phone messages from CVS telling me when a prescription needs to be refilled and asking if I would like them to call my doctor to refill it. Why? Because they want to make a sale of course.

2/ Imagine what it would be like – since obviously we have the technological ability - if every citizen got a phone message not only reminding us to vote but asking if we need any help in getting registered (some do, but imagine if it were true of everyone).

3/ Now imagine if no one even needed to get registered because voter registration automatically occurred on your 18th birthday (we should go to 17). They do it in other countries & we could do it here. Those are things that happen when your government actually wants you to vote!

Their automated calls are the most aggressive thing in the world! And annoyingly hard to unsubscribe from!

Sure ... it's not what they do ... it's the motivation behind it ... on the surface it's seems helpful ... but the underlying motive is profit.

It is the responsibility of the older generation to educate young people about voting rights, general civics and to assist with process from registration to casting of vote. Otherwise we can’t complain if they don’t vote.

I love these thoughts on voting. Please consider using a mom and pop pharmacy.

As someone who has taken the same life saving prescription for most of my life I actually dont mind the reminder.
