I disagree with both of you. Except about the avarice. In an avarice driven society of course civid was always going to ravage. But New Zealand is the most capitalist country in the world and its response to Covid has been near the top. Taiwan is another example.

I hear what you’re saying, and if we as a country actually cared about our neighbors than maybe covid wouldn’t have inflicted as much harm regardless of the economic system we have. But the avarice in this country changes capitalism into something much more evil.
