I’m not anti-capitalist; I think the most enlightened society has aspects of capitalism & socialism. But we’ve drifted into a virulent strain of capitalism, with no ethical or moral responsibility to people or planet. It will correct that, or a generation will storm the Bastille.

Patently untrue, but nice try. We are perilously close to electing a Marxist regime.

Capitalism & socialism are such loaded terms.. The issue is what specific things gov't should be better at than the private sector left to its own devices, & then how can we best ensure it does so. It helps to focus intensely on incentive structures, simplification, & heart.

I think all systems are imperfect and require periodic reform. Jefferson thought we needed a revolution/rewrite of the Constitution every 19 years.

I'll have to disagree with the framing of the problem. It's a false choice b/w capitalism and socialism. We need a functioning government (practical policies), as opposed to conforming to certain idealogies

Anti-capitalism is valid to me, nothing wrong with a healthy and sceptical dose of anti-authoritarianism, but language matters here and "anti-capitalist" makes it unnecessarily personal.
