I’m not anti-capitalist; I think the most enlightened society has aspects of capitalism & socialism. But we’ve drifted into a virulent strain of capitalism, with no ethical or moral responsibility to people or planet. It will correct that, or a generation will storm the Bastille.

read more about capitalism and I’m sure u will dial your view here a tad (or more) to the side where capitalism is less a system of exchange and more a mode of production & config of social relations . we can keep the good portion of Capital *while* we transcend it altogether.

I'm surprised there are so many people in here who are so confident socialism is the way to go. I wonder why though. When I first learned about it in 7th grade I thought it sounded good too. Now I see it's a bit of a mirage. I think we should resist the temptation.

We’re all socialists first deploying some form of capitalist tools, which are simply sanctioned private property rights. Our Democratic Socialism has deemed ownership of thought/speech/advocacy as sacrosanct, given by a creator, forming the basis of our form of capitalism.
