I’m not anti-capitalist; I think the most enlightened society has aspects of capitalism & socialism. But we’ve drifted into a virulent strain of capitalism, with no ethical or moral responsibility to people or planet. It will correct that, or a generation will storm the Bastille.

The system you describe seems similar to one tried a couple centuries ago, called Laissez-faire, which according to Wikipedia shunned all regulation and led to major excesses of greed.
