I’m not anti-capitalist; I think the most enlightened society has aspects of capitalism & socialism. But we’ve drifted into a virulent strain of capitalism, with no ethical or moral responsibility to people or planet. It will correct that, or a generation will storm the Bastille.

If we don't evolve past capitalism, we will go extinct. You can try to regulate it all you want, but eventually it will purchase the regulators. Always does. Read about Neoliberalism.

Except Marianne this is what Capitalism will always devolve into. In order to increase profit margins and power to further increase profit margin. There is no real strain that will save us that won't immediately be dismantled over time.

you can have markets and state-owned industry in either capitalism or socialism but capitalism and socialism are two different modes of production
