How can you preach the virtues of capitalism to people who don’t have any capital? It takes capital to be a capitalist. I totally understand why so many young people are saying “What the hell has global capitalism ever done for me?”

Ummm created the phone you rant about capitalism on, the clothes on your back, the WWW, the crappy apartment you live in while you build your life, the crappy car you drive while you decide what you want to do with this precious gift.

Marianne.. There's a phrase I am sure you have heard called "Pull Yourself up by Your Bootstraps". For those who haven't, it means to better yourself without anyone's help. With determination, willpower and drive, the only limits are the one we put on ourselves.

Piss off with your commie bullshit, you can work your way from nothing to something in capitalism, I'm not rich but I went from welfare as a kid to solid middle class by nothing more than work. Go do that in a socialist system

The mindset of my kids’ generation is one of entitlement. It’s why they gravitate towards the lies offered by socialism, like s moth to a flame. There is more opportunity to leverage capital markets w fractional investing, and the virtual nature of commerce, than EVER BEFORE.

When socialism/communism regimes run out of other people's money to spend, the population (wards of the state) become the means of production (forced slaves to the system) in order to support the 1% at the top and a massive infrastructure. <<<---THE STUFF THEY DON'T TELL YOU!!

Everybody wants money for nothin My grandchildren want everything given to them,, but they're children with a naive view of the world. These "young" people need to grow up and get out and work.

Marianne, it’s free market capitalism woven into our constitutional rebulic, along with a moral society that is the recipe for the engine of our society. It’s complex eco system. You can’t pick on just “capitalism” as a singular comment.
