How can you preach the virtues of capitalism to people who don’t have any capital? It takes capital to be a capitalist. I totally understand why so many young people are saying “What the hell has global capitalism ever done for me?”

Have you ever gone without food a day? Two days? I bet not. I have. Capitalism saved me. Went to work for only commission. Guess what? I succeeded! Stop bashing the dreams of those with high hopes and a work ethic!

Right, because nobody is ever lifted from poverty by capitalism. Oh, wait! Capitalism has lifted more people from poverty than any other socioeconomic system in the world, ever. But yeah, let's switch to the more equal poverty of socialism, w/a side of mass genocide & oppression.

To put it simply, capitalism means you own your own labor. It means you decide what you do, and what you will work for, not the government. Under communist systems the government can tell you what your job will be. Ie they own your labor. Like being on TV? Sorry, we need farmers.

the virtues of capitalism are built on exploitation of those without it, the moral justification for this is that there is a hypothetical mechanism "some" people without it will be able to by luck not really all that strong a moral argument i think

Global capitalism has provided a supply chain that has placed an abundance of goods at the fingertips of the average person. It has lifted billions of people out of the natural human state of poverty. Each person possesses his own human capital with which to earn.

When you have no money your work is your capital. I started several businesses with ideas and sweat.

If Capitalism is such a wonderful economic ideology... Why do banks, large companies, and corporations need to be endlessly bailed out? Then only to be saved by Socialism Why are the people segregated into socioeconomic classes that limit opportunites available to them

Because you find people with capital an convince them of the worth of your services, product or idea.

Everyone has their labor, physical and/or mental. That is the capital we all start with. In the voluntary exchange capitalism allows we can achieve so much more.
