How can you preach the virtues of capitalism to people who don’t have any capital? It takes capital to be a capitalist. I totally understand why so many young people are saying “What the hell has global capitalism ever done for me?”

Your labor is your commodity. Your knowledge and experience determines what you can hope to earn adjusted for supply and demand. Want to earn a lot? Be the best in a field with less competition.

The question must be: why are young people always looking for an easy way out, financially. And always asking what can the country do for me? What can the welfare state do for me? What can capitalism do for me? What can the new Millenium do for me? Instead of asking what can I do

A lot of these people have parents who have capital. But they were taught in schools to hate capitalism and embrace socialism. So instead of building shit, they burn it down.

Good point. A lot of people are struggling to make ends meet. Others would rather have take-out, holidays, new cars, etc instead of bothering to put aside capital that could work for them.

Capitalism has no virtues. Please learn!
People have an opportunity to gain capital if they work hard, at the very least. The impression that capitalism will feed those who do nothing is erroneous. There is opportunity all around if you work hard.

Capitalism is a free market system where the means of production are privately owned. Socialism is the common ownership of the means of production. Communism = socialism + a society without classes.
