How can you preach the virtues of capitalism to people who don’t have any capital? It takes capital to be a capitalist. I totally understand why so many young people are saying “What the hell has global capitalism ever done for me?”

I started off with nothing, but am now doing just fine Less than a year of college and grew up in total poverty What you're preaching is the excuse of socialism: not taking responsibility for your financial situation and demanding others take care of you

A lot of people with capital started as people with no capital. Many of us traded hours, energy, and effort for capital. Many of us are also happy to trade that capital with others for their hours, energy, and effort.

Microwaves, refrigerators, air conditioning, internet, iPhones, computers, vehicles, easily accessible food at any variety, anything you could want at your doorstep in the span of a few days. I’d say it’s gotten us a lot.

I had a teacher in elementary school who told me monopolization was the greatest danger of capitalism. No other teacher mentioned that and I’ve found it to be true. Mergers, acquisitions, and takeovers mean capitalist consolidation, privatization, and increasing poverty.

Its called getting a job, saving, investing or blowing it as you choose. Capitalism. Personal choice. Get a skill, get a job that's of value. What you do with the earnings determines your eventual financial security, good or bad. Quite simple.
