How can you preach the virtues of capitalism to people who don’t have any capital? It takes capital to be a capitalist. I totally understand why so many young people are saying “What the hell has global capitalism ever done for me?”

Global Capitalism or Globalization, created an environment that allowed corporations to cross borders and exploit cheap labor and, at the same time, PREVENTED the workers from crossing borders to follow the jobs. It was done purposefully, by design and with complete disregard.

Capitalism is by definition the idea of getting money for exactly zero work. All you need is money to start with.

Wrong question. "What have I done for myself?" is the important inquiry.

Where do you think capital comes from? Descends to earth on moonbeams? Capital is another term for deferred consumption, denying yourself today so you can have more tomorrow (if that’s your bag). Those who have it deferred, or their ancestors did. Those who don't, didn't.

You build capital by working hard and not wasting it on things that have no true material value. You broke and working 40 hours a week you making a decision to be broke. 80 hours a week and saving for investment...thats capital
