How can you preach the virtues of capitalism to people who don’t have any capital? It takes capital to be a capitalist. I totally understand why so many young people are saying “What the hell has global capitalism ever done for me?”

Capitalism is like a religion. If poor people buy this religion, everyone get to blame the poor for being poor. Depending on who is preaching, this could be the side effect or the purpose of capitalism.

Exactly, Marianne. Capitalism only has virtues to the people who get to use it to exploit the 99%. There is no "good" version of capitalism.

Most don't have ( and never will) capital. Capitalism is of benefit to the bourgeoisie class, not the workers.

Actually I think the young people are noticing that not only has global capitalism not done anything good for them but it has done unspeakable evil on countless millions of people, especially outside the US.

So very true. My son talks to me about how capitalism is not working for his generation. Maybe it is time to start listening to them, adapt and adopt a system that works for everyone.

On Biden's Economic Plan: At the very least it will assuredly create job growth, the likes of which haven't been seen in decades. Statistically speaking, when taxes are raised on corporations, jobs come back in very large numbers.
