How can you preach the virtues of capitalism to people who don’t have any capital? It takes capital to be a capitalist. I totally understand why so many young people are saying “What the hell has global capitalism ever done for me?”

The same can be said for Liberty and freedom now can’t it. And perhaps you should ask them (and yourself) exactly which nations that have rejected capitalism do they wish to live in.

They have a greater store of human capital than any preceding generation in human history. They are better educated than those before them, and have all accumulated human knowledge at their fingertips. That's a lot to work with imho.

Clearly education is failing in what was once the land of opportunity! Others now are making opportunity elsewhere! Are they victims of success?

Simply. What we have here in America is largely crony capitalism. Actual capitalism and responsible govt would give them the chance at a life similar to what previous generations enjoyed.
