There is no “justifiable” extrajudicial killing by police. The man was neither arrested nor tried.

Right. But if a suspect presents a physical threat to the police, the police are justified in taking him down. By your logic, a police officer being shot at will have to wait for a conviction in order to shoot back. It’s absurd.
